Black Singles Connections White Men Dating Black Women
A campus subdued by chill of shock, fear

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The flip-flops and backpacks were gone, replaced by black boots and assault rifles. The lone figures crossing the Drillfield in the center of Virginia Tech's campus, which is usually alive on a late-semester Monday, mostly shuffled past with quick glances at the police cars and trucks, all of them flickering blue and red.

At least for a day, the deadly killing rampage did more than create a sprawling, cross-campus crime scene. It drained the energy out of the mountain university, leaving its students shocked and tired, whispering about near-misses and wondering what could possibly be next.

"It's never been this quiet," said Safal Bhattarai, a 20-year-old marketing student who was carrying food from a dining hall guarded by police and dogs.

HIGHAMS PARK: Secret film pervert spared jail

A PERVERT who secretly filmed a naked woman as she slept has been spared jail.

Paul Slowgrove arranged his victim's body in an erotic pose before recording her on a web cam. She woke up to find the 46-year-old moving her limbs and filming her.

The distressed woman, who cannot be named, called police and officers later found a pornographic photo of a child at the 46-year-old's home in Selwyn Avenue, Highams Park.

Zakuski: Small bites for all!

NOW that sushi has become as predictable as guacamole at cocktail parties, the last word in small bites is overdue for discovery.

Zakuski, a Russian tradition dating from Tolstoy's time, is food made for drinkers, although teetotalers would have a hard time resisting temptation. The usual array laid out to pick and choose from includes savory, salty or highly seasoned snacks such as smoked salmon, stuffed eggs, meatballs, vegetable "caviars," small servings of salad or big wedges of hot cheese or mushroom pie. The flavors are always dramatic but complementary, and the contrasting textures only amplify the experience of playing with food.

Live College Football: In a Players View

I love to ask you guys the questions, which I am going to do so, but I will answer it in this post aswell. My Heisman Favorite Is..... -Ugh, I don't like to be biased by anyway shape or form, but this is my list for this upcoming season. 1) Chase Daniel-Missouri -I am a Missouri fan, yes I do know that. But, I love the accuracy, the arm, the excitment, the playmaking ability, and his awareness is all what makes this guy the best icon in sports in the state of Missouri right now. Yes, bigger than Albert Pujols. Bigger than Marc Bulger, Torry Holt, or Carl Edwards. All of a sudden Missouri football has a heartbeat that it never had, and fans are starting to live and die for this program. 2)Pat White-West Virginia -Here is the deal. If he stays healthy, and plays just as much as Chase Daniel then Pat White wins it.

Phillies - Admiration is mutual for Mike Schmidt, new Phillies third ...

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Truth be told, Pedro Feliz didn't recognize the sandy-haired man when he approached him earlier this week. But after he introduced himself - Pedro, Mike Schmidt; Mike Schmidt, Pedro - he was more than willing to listen.

"From the best, you are always going to get something," said Feliz, the Phillies' new third baseman.

What Feliz got was a ringing endorsement from the greatest player ever to play his position. Schmidt, in town for his annual 2-week instructional stint, said he has always been impressed with the way Feliz plays, dating back to the San Francisco Giants games Schmidt would catch on national television during Barry Bonds' heyday.

"[He has] tremendously impressive hands - wow," said Schmidt, the Phillies' all-time leader in career home runs (548), RBI (1,595), walks (1,507) and runs (1,506).

The Conservative Pipeline Problem

The UCLA survey of seniors found that only 13 percent of all students were considering a Ph.D. But the numbers were significantly higher for those on the left (24 percent of the far left and 18 percent of liberals) than on the right (11 percent of the far right and 9 percent of conservatives).

The study also finds significant differences among colleges seniors in values that they care about — including values that might make someone more or less likely to enter a Ph.D. program. For instance, in a values study, the seniors were asked to rank certain experiences on a four-point scale (with 1 as not important, 2 as somewhat important, 3 as very important, and 4 as essential). The results show a divide.

Did Dodi Fayed sleep with model while courting Diana?

While he was courting Princess Diana, Dodi Al Fayed was continuing to have passionate all-night sex with his soon to be ex-lover, an underwear model, according to a taped phone conversation.

"You even flew me down to St Tropez to sit on a boat while you seduced Diana all day and f--- me all night," said Kelly Fisher in the final phone call between her and her former lover Fayed, a transcript of which was read in the inquest into Diana's death Wednesday.

"You told me you didn't even like her... why do you suddenly like her?" Fischer continued, according to the transcript.

Fisher said she made the call after hearing second hand through media reports that Fayed was dating Diana.

Taped by secretly Fisher in August 1997, Fayed and his jilted lover trade allegations about which one of them walked out first during the 20-minute phone conversation.

Bonds on Bonds on MSNBC, part II

Gray asked if Bonds would want Anderson to answer questions from the grand jury.

"I have no idea about anything," Bonds said.

Bonds also said of Anderson, "All I know is that Greg Anderson was my friend. And Greg Anderson said that he never ever did anything to me. And I believe him."

At one point, Gray asked how Bonds answers those who are suspicious because Bonds' power numbers improved as he got older. Bonds said, "Hank Aaron's production increased as he got older, Alex Rodriguez's production's increasing as he's getting older, and mine ain't really gone down yet. Think about it."

Another notable answer from Bonds came when Gray asked if the team that might be interested in bringing on Bonds should be concerned about the baggage that comes with having Bonds on the team.
