Students made and wore crowns representing the 100th day. The classes played the game "Race to 100" where students had to spin a spinner and move on a game board. The first child to reach 100 was the winner. They glued Fruit Loops to a hundreds chart and used rubber alphabet stamps to stamp 100 letters. Children put together puzzles with 100 pieces. They built structures with 100 blocks. Kindergarteners matched numbered Hershey Kisses to a hundreds chart. Each child brought a collection of 100 things to share and count. Students attended a performance of "Three Billy Goats Gruff" by Opera Iowa on Jan. 30.
Students are participating in a spelling challenge. They are collecting pledges for each spelling word they spell correctly. The spelling test will be Feb. 29.
